Going to this place is literally an experience! Small place away from the streets full of people, rustic and without frills. The strong points are the host and the food.Starting from the first, it is a person with a ready joke who manages to entertain, serve, cook and entertain. The food is truly excellent and tasty with special combinations (the pasta with scallops is fantastic), the natural wines are also excellent.Furthermore, being small, it also creates an atmosphere of conviviality with the other tables. We will definitely be back!

We were roaming around at night and wanted to grab a bottle of wine. We walked into two establishments before stumbling upon this place. It’s not a fine dining upscale restaurant but more of a mom’s and pops restaurant off the beaten path.We sat down for hours with the owner and picked his brain about the lifestyle and the area.He is very knowledgeable and funny. If you can’t take a joke and laugh then you’re in the wrong place. At times we forgot we were at an establishment and felt like we were drinking wine at home.We didn’t try the food so we can’t speak on that.P.S. the establishment is located adjacent to two bridges where famous movies and music videos were filmed. Just ask the owner.

If you are in Venice and you won't eat here, let me tell you, you failed. It was the single best restaurant we ate in! Just read other reviews! The owner is just incredible! Serving was like from the most expensive restaurants, but the feeling is like you are a family with other customers and the owner. He is funny, he jokes with you while sharing with you his huge knowledge. We got carbonara and pasta with clams. Both were delicious but the carbonara.. I had carbonara in a lot of places as it's my favorite pasta, the one served here was the best I've ever had! A true jewel of Venice and we got there randomly! We were sitting just by the canal, with two small bridges in sight, candles lit on all tables, and we all enjoyed each other's presence. Damn, we even ordered another carbonara plate to share, the owner got it and gave us a plate with pasta and 2 plates for each of us.My love had a birthday that day and we told that randomly while paying, the owner called everyone and started singing for her, we all did, all the customers. My friend, Andrea, you are incredible! You made her day and we both won't ever forget that evening! Thank you for who you are and when I'll be back in Venice, you are the first spot on my map to visit!5 stars is not enough. People, go and try his food, this climate. Trust me, you won't regret it!As for prices it's not cheap but worth every euro! All was also according to the prices in the menu. For 2 carbonara plates, pasta with clams, 2 glasses of wine and 2 bottles of craft beers we paid 90 euro. You'll find cheaper, sure, but trust me, it is worth it!Best wishes from the Polish couple!! You are the best! I hope we'll see you again one day!

Just perfection. Five stars doesn’t feel like it does it justice. A very atmospheric location (candle light, quiet, by the water, very Venetian surroundings), we were greeted so warmly by the host. His hospitality skills are beyond great: funny and warm with excellent attention to detail, and never in a rush. And the food! We had had a heavy lunch so only wanted a small bite so ordered the mix cold cuts platter. It was sublime. The meat was an excellent selection (the one paired with prunes was a delight), the cheeses were smooth and varied, and the chutneys took us by surprise but brought it all together beautifully. All round superb place. We will be back!

Absolutely incredible wine and food. Fantastic host. Kind, interesting and funny. My favourite place in Venice for sure, probably in mainland Europe. Very highly recommended for a glass, or a bottle, of wine, not to mention slow dinner. Totally worth staying an extra day in Venice for.

A very charming restaurant hidden along a quieter canal with yummy seasonal home-made style food and natural wine. It's run by a casual and friendly owner who knows a lot about the wines and food he serves. Everything was perfect, we hope to make it back soon!
